Street photography project, photographs taken in Lanzarote (Spain) in 2016.
The island of Lanzarote is part of the archipelago of Canaries (Spain) in the west of Morocco, in the Atlantic Ocean.
Following a very active volcanism in the 18th and 19th centuries, the island is almost entirely covered with lava.
Tourism is the main activity of the island, it is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists each year.
With this series of photographs, I wanted to show the contrast between this hostile landscape and this massive influx of visitors, I had a preview of what the future colonization of Mars could look like.
